Our Background
A Business Based on Adding Value
Leading Edge Group was originally formed in Australia in 1986 as a buying group. In 1998, a group of private investors purchased the business and consolidated the operation under the name of Leading Edge Group Limited. Since then, Leading Edge Group continued substantial growth and now has over 1500 retail shop fronts throughout Australia and New Zealand. Last year the combined retail sales through the group reached $1.4 billion.
Leading Edge Growth in New Zealand Built on Service Excellence
In October 2004 Leading Edge Group entered the New Zealand market as Leading Edge Communications by purchasing 13 retail stores and two Business centres from Telecom NZ. With a rapid growth strategy and significant investment, Leading Edge Communications increased its footprint by opening another 10 company owned stores as well as successfully partnering with 24 independently owned Telecom dealerships throughout New Zealand. To date the Leading Edge Communications group consists of 50 points of presence providing customers with the largest Telecom footprint of stores nationwide.
