Leading Edge second hand phones and accessories – 30 DAY WARRANTY
Subject to these conditions, Leading Edge Communications NZ Limited (Leading Edge) offers purchasers (you) of its second hand mobile phones and accessories (a Product) via the Trade Me website, a 30 day warranty.
This warranty applies in addition to the conditions and warranties implied by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 in relation to a Product. No other warranties either express or implied by law are made with respect to these Products.
Leading Edge will not be liable for any consequential loss, indirect or special damage arising from your use of the Product.
Warranty
Leading Edge agrees, subject to these conditions, to repair at Leading Edge’s cost the Product purchased by you, when the Product does not perform in accordance with its specifications, during the period that is 30 days from the date of delivery of Product (Warranty Period).
If the warranty applies, Leading Edge will arrange for repair of the Product under the manufacturer’s warranty terms in accordance with its Repair Policy (Repair Policy) (provided that you comply with those terms). If the warranty applies and in the opinion of Leading Edge’s repairer the Product is not able to be repaired, then Leading Edge will replace the Product subject to such Product being available.
Warranty Claim Procedure
To make a warranty claim:
- You must phone Leading Edge on 0800275278 and explain the problem with the Product;
- Leading Edge will send you a pre-paid courier bag for you to send your Product to Leading Edge in;
- Leading Edge will then send your Product to its repairer in accordance with its Repair Policy.
Warranty Application
This warranty applies only in respect of a Product purchased by you personally from Leading Edge via the Trade Me website.
Warranty Exclusions
This Warranty will not apply in the following circumstances:
- If any of the exclusions in the Repair Policy apply. You need to check that, but the mains ones are:
1.1 accidental damage such as moisture damage, impact damage, power surge, misuse or neglect;
1.2 repair to or tampering with the Product by an unauthorised person;
1.3 damage caused by non-original accessories involving electrical contact.
- The Product is outside the Warranty Period, but this does not limit your rights, if any, under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
- If you have sold the Product to a third party.
If the warranty does not apply and you still require repairs, then you will be required to pay Leading Edge’s repairer’s fees in accordance with the Repair Policy.
